Who We Are Harvest is a body of approximately 260 believers in Christ who live primarily in the University area, North Mecklenburg, and Cabarrus county.
Harvest is an evangelical church, meaning that we derive our beliefs from the Bible, which serves as our ultimate guide for all faith and practice. We believe the Bible to be God's Word, fully true in all that it affirms. All of our teaching and preaching is designed to be based on the Bible and to demonstrate how its principles apply to contemporary life.
Harvest is also a community church, unaffiliated with a denomination (many refer to this as "nondenominational"). We invite and encourage people from various church backgrounds to join together in our community of faith. We are closest in philosophy and beliefs to a group of churches known as the Evangelical Free Church of America.
Under Jesus Christ, the head of the church, we are equipped and led by two pastors, supported by six other staff members, and shepherded and governed by four elders. To God’s glory, we are a healthy, warm, growing church trying to accomplish his mission in the world together. God has led us to reach out into our local community and to support 15 missionary families (six of whom were sent out from our body) and three different groups of native church planters in Russia, Nigeria and Serbia. We devote 18% of all Sunday offerings to missions.
Harvest was founded in 1996, and just a few years later 26 acres was donated to us and now serves as the location of our church campus at 13301 Eastfield Road, Huntersville, 28078. We are conveniently located 1/2 mile from the rear entrance of Highland Creek, 10 minutes from Concord Mills, and 3 minutes from exit 26 (Benfield Rd.) on I-485.
