Meet the Staff

Jerry Barber | Senior Pastor

Jerry's passion is to teach people the Bible and inspire and equip them to pray. As he preaches through the Bible on Sundays, he explains Scripture and how it applies to real life. He loves God, his family, his staff team, church, and those who are still on the journey to finding Christ.

His wife Tish is passionate about ministering to international students and scholars and teaching ESL to women on Friday mornings. They are the proud parents of three adult sons: Jonathan, Justin, and Preston. Jonathan is married to Hellen and they have three children, Jayden, Jacob, and Addison. Justin is married to Natalie and they have four children, Ayla, Judah, Matthias and Eliana. Preston is married to Ali.

Jerry also has a heart to train others for ministry. After his M.Div. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, he earned a Th.M. and Ph.D.in New Testament Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School to equip him for this task. He has been involved with training pastors overseas through the ministry of World Reach and teaching occasional classes at seminaries in the Charlotte area.

Jerry enjoys golf and swimming. He loves to read and write, and he also enjoys TV shows featuring real people such as Shark Tank and America's Got Talent.

Corey Mode | Associate & Student Pastor

Corey is an NC native who grew up in Shelby but received his bachelor’s degree from UNC Charlotte. He then went on to receive his M.Div from Gardner-Webb University with a concentration in Pastoral Studies. During his nine years of ministry in Shelby, Corey met and married his wife Kayla. Together they are a dynamic duo who love serving Jesus and welcomed their first child, Brooklyn Clark in October 2023. Corey’s favorite things to do in ministry are to teach God’s word and to love on people. His life goal is to love people like Jesus and to help them understand how much Jesus loves them.

Corey enjoys sports, reading, movies, board games, time spent with friends and family, and weekly date nights with Kayla.

Lynn Randle | Children's Ministry Director

Lynn is serving as the Children’s Ministry Director and is passionate about helping children and their families in their journey to follow Christ. She leads a team of dedicated volunteers who engage children’s hearts and minds with the truth of God’s Word and encourage parents to lead in discipleship at home.

Lynn’s personal journey has included serving in many volunteer positions at churches over the years, playing trumpet in the 98th Army Band and teaching instrumental music in Pennsylvania public schools for 15 years.

She and her husband Rich enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking & traveling to see the beauty God has created. Their dog, Gabriel has been an answer to prayer – helping them to meet their neighbors and engaging others with the Good News.

Heidi Reckard | Treasurer

Heidi is the treasurer for Harvest. She and her husband Stan, along with their five children, have been valuable parts of the ministry since the very early days of the church. Heidi is active in several ministries at Harvest and enjoys helping women learn how to grow in the Word.

Heidi enjoys cooking, coffee, connecting with others, being a support to young families, date nights with her husband, and spending time with her whole family (which is a rare occurrence now that they are spread up and down the east coast).

Niki Powers | Administrative Assistant

Niki's primary role is to provide administrative support for the Senior Pastor, as well as creating digital and promotional content. Niki moved to Charlotte in 2010 together with her husband, Steve, and their two children, Kayla and Evan (now adults). Although Steve's job was what prompted their move to Charlotte, the Powers family now calls Charlotte home.

Niki enjoys spending time with her family, home improvement projects, bike riding, paddle boarding, getting to know people in her neighborhood, and serving at Harvest.

Amy Granata | Ministry Assistant

Amy is originally from Green Bay, WI. She is married to Cory and has three elementary-aged children. Amy earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication with a Public Relations concentration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been on staff in various roles at Harvest since 2013 and currently oversees our social media as well as serving as Assistant Children's Ministry Director. She enjoys volunteering in her children's classrooms and enjoys exploring God's creation with her family.

Richard Alamia | Operations, Facilities & Grounds

Richard oversees grounds and facilities, manages the day-to-day office operations, and assists the Treasurer with bookkeeping. Richard serves diligently performing various administrative tasks throughout the week. Richard also co-leads the Wednesday night "mature adult" community group.

Richard and his wife Norma enjoy spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren.

Martin Bramell | Facility Maintenance

Martin and his wife Lisa, along with their two children Sarah and Elizabeth, have been members at Harvest for many years. Martin oversees the cleaning and custodial care of our building.
