Jerry Barber

Senior Pastor

After completing several years of ministry as a pastor/teacher in a suburban Chicago church, Jerry moved here to Charlotte in 1995 to plant Harvest. His passion is to communicate God's Word in a manner that is both true to the text and relevant to daily life. He is a 50-year-old man who is devoted to his family and ministry. He and his wife Tish, an instructor at a local business college, are the proud parents of three sons–Jonathan (23), Justin (21), and Preston (19).

Jerry also has a heart to train others for ministry through writing and teaching, and to equip him for this he earned a Ph.D. in New Testament Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he also received his Master of Theology degree. He holds a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Among other opportunities, he is involved in ongoing efforts to train pastors in eastern Europe and Latin America through World Reach’s Mobile Bible Institute and an adjunct professor of New Testament at Carolina Evangelical Divinity School in High Point.

Jerry is an avid runner who completed his first half-marathon in November 2008 and a "formerly avid" golfer who still enjoys the game.

Jeff Kisiah

Associate Pastor

Jeff Kisiah, a native of Charlotte, moved back to his hometown in 1996 to begin serving at Harvest, initially as a volunteer. In June, 1998, he joined the HCC pastoral staff to serve in multi-faceted ways in key areas of service. Jeff provided leadership for our Land Search and subsequent Phase 1 Building Project from 1996-2002. He has taken mission trips to Mexico, Serbia, Hungary & Guatemala, as well as leading 8 trips to the Gulf Coast region to provide relief for victims of Hurricane Katrina. He has a passion to see Men of Harvest become Men of Valor & Prayer. He also has consulted with men’s ministry leaders in 10 states so that we would see “No Man Left Behind” at HCC and beyond. While he is a Bible College graduate and has attended seminary classes, he approaches ministry from a “coaching grid.” He also participates in pastoral counseling, and serves as a consultant for “Man In The Mirror,” a parachurch ministry located in Orlando, FL. Jeff (51) and his wife, Candie (from Chattanooga, TN), have two children, Kristi (26) and Brooks (20) whom they desire to guide through life’s journey under the wisdom and understanding from God.

Dean Pyle

Worship Pastor

On August 1, 2010, Harvest welcomed Dean Pyle as our Worship Pastor. He is a worshipper of God and a gifted musician with a heart for God, worship and the world. He and his wife Ami have three children: Demi (11), Enoch (9) and Caleb (7). Originally from Texas, for the past twelve years they have lived and ministered in a suburb of St. Louis in a church that he and two others planted. Other than being Dallas Cowboy fans, we appreciate what the Pyles bring to Harvest. :)

Jennifer Jolly

Coordinator of Student Ministries

Jennifer Jolly jointed the Harvest staff in 2000 after serving in China with Mainland China Mission International. She graduated from Liberty University with a K-8 Elementary Education Degree with concentrations in Psychology and Music, where she also served with YouthQuest Ministries. Jennifer has served in both student and worship ministries at Harvest.

In November 2008, the Lord blessed Jen and husband Mike with a son, Wesley, and now she coordinates the Student ministry at Harvest. She has a passion to see middle and high school students mature and develop spiritual habits to be lifelong disciples of Christ.

She loves students, music, Chinese cuisine, and Mike's crazy sense of humor (we think?).

Jennifer Steward

Administrative Assistant

Jen Steward is the Administrative Assistant at HCC. She is from Virginia, but spent 15 years in Southern California where she met her husband Tim. They moved to Charlotte in 2005 and found Harvest soon afterwards. Jen was on staff at a church in California as an Administrative Assistant and then a Director of Hospitality & Women's Ministries. She has a passion to see people come to know Christ and experience His freedom. Jen & Tim have one son, Josh, who is now four.
